Football Bet Settlement Rules You Should Check First

Regulation time, extra time, postponed matches, void selections and accumulator settlement explained.

A football bet is settled according to the named market and the operator’s published rules. The final score shown in a news app is not always the score used for settlement.

Regulation time

Many 1X2, goals and both-teams-to-score markets use 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalties commonly do not count unless the market says “to qualify” or similar.

Postponed and abandoned matches

Operators may wait for a match to resume within a specified period. If it does not, some markets can be void while already determined markets may stand. Read the exact rule before selecting.

Void selections in accumulators

A void leg is commonly recalculated at 1.00, leaving the other selections active. This can reduce the displayed return. Special promotional rules may differ.

What to record

Save the market name, settlement period, odds and rule version. When a dispute occurs, use the operator’s formal complaints process and keep screenshots.
